The NPORS Rear Dump Truck (N205) course is designed for those who operate or intend to operate large rear-tipping dump trucks on construction, quarrying, or earthmoving projects. This course ensures operators are trained in safe working practices and machine control.

Course Overview

This course covers both rigid and articulated rear dump trucks and focuses on safe loading, tipping, and driving across varied terrain. Training includes machine checks, site safety, and efficient operation under load.

• Health and Safety Legislation Understanding key site hazards and safe driving protocols.

• Machine Familiarisation Controls, features, and tipping mechanism functions.

• Pre-Use Checks & Maintenance Daily inspections and fault reporting.

• Driving Techniques Operating on slopes, rough terrain, and in confined spaces.

• Loading & Tipping Safely Working with excavators or loaders, avoiding overturn risks.

• Shutdown & Parking Procedures Correct post-operation practices.
