Course Overview

Operators will be trained to handle a variety of materials using clamshells, grapples, or magnets, while maintaining stability, visibility, and safety on site. The course includes inspections, load management, and hazard awareness.

• Health & Safety Legislation Understanding hazards, PPE, and safe working zones.

• Machine Familiarisation Controls, attachments, and hydraulic systems.

• Pre-Use Inspections Daily checks and fault reporting.

• Safe Operating Techniques Lifting, sorting, and moving materials in confined areas.

• Attachment Use Working with grapples, grabs, magnets, and rotating tools.

• Shutdown Procedures Post-operation machine securing and maintenance basics.
