This training provides operators with the skills to handle pivot steer trucks confidently, focusing on the unique steering mechanism, handling long loads, and maintaining stability when turning or stacking at height in tight aisles.
What the Course Covers
Health & Safety Legislation Understanding warehouse hazards, PPE, and safe systems of work.
Pre-Use Inspections Conducting checks on steering, brakes, hydraulics, and forks.
Truck Controls and Manoeuvring Operating articulated steering safely in confined spaces.
Stacking and Unstacking Loads Picking, placing, and retrieving loads in high-rack scenarios.
Load Assessment and Stability Understanding weight limits, centre of gravity, and handling techniques.
Shutdown and Parking Procedures Isolating and securing the truck after use.
