Industrial Counterbalance Lift Truck (N001) – NPORS Accredited Course

The NPORS Industrial Counterbalance Lift Truck (N001) course is for those who operate counterbalance forklifts in warehouses, factories, and loading areas. This course covers essential safety procedures, practical operation, and best practice for load handling.

Course Overview

Learners will gain a full understanding of pre-use inspections, stability, stacking, and load management using counterbalance forklifts. The training also includes hazard awareness and safe manoeuvring in tight operational spaces.

What the Course Covers

• Health & Safety Requirements Regulations, signage, and PPE in industrial forklift environments.

• Daily Inspections Checking tyres, hydraulics, forks, and warning systems.

• Controls and Manoeuvring Driving forward/reverse, turning safely, and cornering with loads.

• Lifting, Transporting, and Stacking Loads Efficient handling techniques and maintaining stability under load.

• Working in Confined Areas Awareness of pedestrians, racking, and blind spots.

• Shut Down and Secure Correctly parking and isolating the truck.

Entry Requirements
