Reach Truck (N003) – NPORS Accredited Course

The NPORS Reach Truck (N003) course is designed for warehouse and logistics professionals who operate reach forklifts to handle palletised goods in racked storage. This course covers safe operation, load handling at height, and working in confined aisle spaces.

Course Overview

Operators will gain practical skills in manoeuvring, stacking, and retrieving goods using reach trucks, with emphasis on maintaining load stability and awareness in busy warehouse environments. Training includes safety protocols, machine checks, and best practices for working at height.

What the Course Covers

• Health & Safety Principles Understanding warehouse hazards and safe operating procedures.

• Pre-Use Inspections Checking tyres, forks, hydraulics, warning systems, and battery condition.

• Control Familiarisation Reach carriage movement, lift/lower controls, and travel functions.

• Load Handling Safe stacking, retrieval, and pallet placement in high-rack storage.

• Stability & Weight Distribution Working within load capacity and avoiding tip risks.

• Parking & Charging Procedures Safely securing and recharging electric trucks.
