The NPORS Forward Tipping Dumper (N204) course is designed for individuals operating front-loading dumpers in construction, utilities, and groundwork environments. The course covers safe operation, maintenance, and manoeuvring of forward tipping dumpers.

Course Overview

Operators will gain a solid understanding of dumper mechanics and safety procedures, from loading and tipping to navigating different ground conditions. The course also teaches best practice for inspection, refuelling, and end-of-use protocols.

• Health & Safety Principles Understanding risks, PPE use, and site awareness.

• Pre-Use Inspections Conducting checks and maintaining operational safety.

• Machine Controls & Manoeuvring Steering, reversing, and travelling over various terrains.

• Safe Tipping Techniques Controlled load discharge to minimise spillage or instability.

• Working with Excavators Coordination and clear communication when loading.

• Shutting Down & Securing the Dumper End-of-day and emergency parking procedures.
