The NPORS Forward Tipping Mini Dumper (N139) course is designed for operators working with small, compact dumpers typically used in landscaping, domestic building projects, and areas with limited access. This course ensures safe handling, manoeuvring, and tipping techniques for light dumpers under 1 tonne.

Course Overview

This course focuses on the unique challenges of using mini dumpers in confined or sensitive ground conditions. Operators will gain practical skills and knowledge to perform pre-use checks, load and transport materials, and discharge loads safely on a live or simulated site.

• Health & Safety Awareness Understanding site hazards, PPE, and risk minimisation.

• Daily Checks & Basic MaintenancePerforming visual inspections and reporting faults.

• Operating Controls Understanding steering, braking, tipping, and throttle functions.

• Safe Loading & Tipping Coordinating with loading equipment and using controlled tipping techniques.

• Confined Space Operation Manoeuvring and reversing in restricted areas.

• End-of-Use Procedures Parking, securing, and cleaning down the machine.
