Course Overview
Operators are trained in hazard awareness, safe platform operation, emergency controls, and pre-use inspection routines. The course includes both ground-based and platform-based instruction to ensure operators are competent in all aspects of boom lift usage.
What the Course Covers

Health & Safety Legislation Including Working at Height Regulations and PPE use.

Pre-Use Checks Daily inspections on controls, safety devices, and hydraulic systems.

MEWP Controls & Stability Familiarisation with boom movement, outriggers, and safe platform positioning.

Safe Operation at Height Avoiding overhead hazards, safe entry/exit, and platform manoeuvring.

Emergency Descent Procedures Use of ground controls and emergency lowering functions.

Shutting Down and Securing Post-use isolation, parking, and recharging if applicable.
