MEWP Scissor Lift (N109) – NPORS Accredited Course

The NPORS MEWP Scissor Lift (N109) course is aimed at operators who use scissor-type mobile elevated work platforms. It is ideal for construction, warehousing, maintenance, and installation roles that involve working at low to medium height.

Course Overview

The course provides operators with practical skills to work safely at height, use scissor lifts properly, and conduct required safety checks. Emphasis is placed on platform stability, access and egress, and emergency protocols.

• Health & Safety Guidelines Working at Height Regulations and safe operating practices.

• Pre-Use Inspections Checking hydraulics, guard rails, controls, and alarms.

• Platform Controls & Manoeuvring Operating safely at height in both indoor and outdoor settings.

• Ground Conditions and Load Limits Understanding weight capacity and safe terrain selection.

• Emergency Procedures Lowering platform safely in case of malfunction.

• Shutdown and Parking Recharging, parking, and isolating scissor lifts after use.
