This course focuses on low-risk movement of various types of plant equipment (e.g., excavators, dumpers, rollers) under supervision. It covers health and safety, machine controls, and basic manoeuvring without engaging in work tasks like digging or lifting.
What the Course Covers
Health & Safety Awareness Understanding site rules, pedestrian safety, and PPE requirements.
Identifying Plant Types Basic overview of different machines and their movement characteristics.
Pre-Movement Checks Ensuring machines are safe to move (e.g., brakes, steering, indicators).
Machine Controls & Travel Moving machinery short distances, turning, reversing, and stopping.
Environmental Awareness Understanding terrain, obstructions, and other moving vehicles.
Shutdown & Parking Securing the plant after relocation.
